Privacy policy
Draft of 12 October 2026: read it and correct anything that does not match how the business actually works before publishing. It is written to the law that applies in Ireland, but it is not legal advice.
Who we are
Pooch Pals is the data controller for this website, and can be contacted at info@thepoochpals.com or on +17034759360.
What we collect, and why
This is a static website. It has no accounts, no database and no tracking of its own. Information reaches us only when you choose to send it:
- If you email or call us: your name, contact details and whatever you tell us, used only to answer you. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to an enquiry, or the steps taken before entering a contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).
- If you book through the booking system: your booking details are handled by the provider named below, under a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
Who else is involved
- Google Maps: used for the map. Data you enter there is handled under that provider's own terms.
- Our hosting provider: serves the pages and keeps standard server logs.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and does not track you. An embedded booking or map service may set its own cookies when you interact with it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and to keep a record of work done, then deleted. Booking records are kept by the booking provider under its own retention policy.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form (GDPR Articles 15 to 22). Ask us at info@thepoochpals.com and we will answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, which supervises this under the Data Protection Act 2018; see dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
